Dr. Viral Navin Patrawala has been working as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in the Ghatkopar and Vikhroli areas of Mumbai with an established practice since the last 12 years. He holds a postgraduate MD degree in Medicine and a superspeciality DM degree in Gastroenterology, and is currently attached to the Dr. LH Hiranandani Hospital in Powai, and Kohinoor Hospital in Kurla. Dr. Patrawala can also be consulted at this private clinic in Ghatkopar. His areas of specialisation are Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with considerable experience in therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr. Viral Patrawala began his career during his residency from August 1992 to July 1995 in the Department of Medicine of the JJ Hospital, Mumbai, during the MD programme. He then took up the post of Assistant Lecturer in Gastroenterology at the same hospital until June 1996. In July 1996, he commenced his senior residency at the LTM General Hospital during his DM (Gastro) training, which lasted until December 1998. In January 1999, Dr. Patrawala was appointed Lecturer in the Department of Gastroenterology at JJ Hospital until September 2000. During this period, he also conducted an independent Gastroenterology OPD at the hospital. Dr. Patrawala has also been associated with the Jagjivan Ram Western Railway Hospital and the Hindusabha Hospital in Mumbai. In addition to his clinical commitments, he has several publications to his name in medical journals and has also delivered lectures and made presentations at various conferences connected to his area of expertise.
